He was born in Plummers Landing on Jan. 22, 1938. He attended Wilbur Wright High School and Sinclair College and worked for NCR. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus Plant.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 44 years, Shelby Watson Fannin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Bob Rouhier of Dayton and Cindy and Jeff Hedge of Fort Wayne, Ind.; four grandchildren, Anthony Rouhier, Andrew Rouhier, Michael Hedge and Rachel Hedge; his mother, Cleora Fannin of St. Petersburg, Fla; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Judy Fannin of Kettering, Ohio and Dennis and Lodi Fannin of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leona and D. A. Watson and Jean and Wilbur Watson, all of Fleming County; and many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Fannin, in 2001.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Shiloh United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Short and Rev. Harley Sexton officiating. Interment will be in Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral at the church. Hutton Funeral Home is caring for local arrangements.
